Dr. Chris Blevins

Owner, Veterinarian

Dr. Chris Blevins is originally from South Pittsburg, Tennessee. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University in 2009.

Prior to opening Dunlap Animal Clinic, Dr. Blevins practiced small animal medicine in middle Tennessee and North Alabama. He is married to Whitney and they have three young boys, Lane, Connor, and Baron. They also have a black Labrador retriever named Casey and a cat named PJ. Dr. Blevins and his family attend First Baptist Church in Winchester.

Dr. Blevins enjoys coaching his sons’ sports teams, cycling, and watching college football. His special interest are surgery, especially orthopedic procedures. Dr. Blevins has attended several continuing education conferences and has lots of experience with knee surgery and fracture repair. He feels very blessed to be a part of such a wonderful profession.

Dr. Cunningham

Veterinarian

Dr. Cunningham was born and grew up in Tracy City, Tennessee. His parents and grandparents were coal miners, loggers, and home builders. Dr. Cunningham graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s degree in Geology. He then graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. After graduating, Dr. Cunningham practiced small animal medicine in south Florida for 17 years and moved back home.

Dr. Cunningham is semi-retired working part-time. He currently lives in Cannon County with his 3 dogs. Dr. Cunningham is a military veteran and proud father of three boys.

Jessica Lovegrove

Veterinarian

Jessica Lovegrove, DVM, is a locum veterinarian with Dunlap Animal Clinic. Dr. Lovegrove received her Bachelors in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology at University of Tennessee in 2015 and then graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Dr. Lovegrove enjoys clinical medicine and promoting the human animal bond between her patient’s and owners. When Dr. Lovegrove is not in a clinic, she loves spending time in her garden, loving on her pets, and spending time with her family.

Larissa Harvey

Receptionist

Larissa started working at Dunlap Animal Clinic in 2021.  She is from Dunlap and attended Sequatchie County High School. She has been in the veterinary field since 2007. She has two boys, Corbin and Cooper. She also has a dog named Sister. Larissa enjoys hiking and being on the lake.

Shea Carter

Veterinary Technician

My name is Shea and I am from Manchester, Tennessee. I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. I am married to Jordan and we have two children. We live on a small farm in Winchester where we have chickens, a bearded dragon, two cats, a pig, and a horse. My hobbies include fishing, horseback riding, hiking, and kayaking as well as supporting my kids in clubs and sports.
